Itinerary

DAY 01 Arrival at Katmandu Airport

Arrival at Katmandu airport and transfer to hotel Radisson / Hyatt. Evening sightseeing of Pashupathinath temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Program briefing at dinner. Radisson / Hotel Hyatt.

DAY 02 Kathmandu- Lhasa Flight

Morning flight to Lhasa at Gongger airport. Drive 50 to 70 KM to city and transfer to hotel The St. Regis Resort Lhasa for overnight stay.

DAY 03 Lhasa Sightseeing

Full day sightseeing including places like Potala Palace (ticket cost extra paid by yatris and subject to availability on the spot. Advance booking not possible. Can be arranged only by Chinese guide.), Jokhang Temple (ticket cost extra paid by yatris.), and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight stay at Hotel.  The St. Regis Resort Lhasa.

DAY 04 Lhasa – Sigatse by Train (300 kms)

Return by Train Train to Sigatse. Sigatse is another big city in Tibet. Overnight stay at Hotel. The St. Regis Resort Lhasa.

DAY 05 Lhasa - Ali Flight

Drive to Mansarovar ( 4560m) (14,500 ft to 15,000 ft ): Transfer to Airport to fly out  Ali Airport(4,500 m) and drive 330 km from Ali  to Mansarovar lake. You will be in Chiu Gompa. Stay at the Lodge. Paramartha Guesthouse or Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen. Parmartha Guesthouse is dormitory accommodation, very close to Mansarovar. If yatris wants to stay in good quality hotel, then drive 35 KM to Darchen and stay in hotel Himalaya.

DAY 06 Drive to Darchen

(In case of stay in Parmarth Aashram)  – Yam dwar & Trek to Dirapuk (Night at Dirapuk) (15,000 ft to 15,500 ft) After Religious pooja – hawan etc. Drive to Darchen and continue drives to Yam dwar (8 kms) and start Kailash Parikarama to Diraphuk (13 kms) (1st Day), light lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Dirapuk guesthouse (Dormitory Accommodation). Yatris who do not take parikrama will stay at Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen.

DAY 06 Second Opinion

(In case of stay in hotel Himalaya at Darchen.). Drive to Yam dwar & Trek to Dirapuk (Night at Dirapuk) (15,000 ft to 15,500 ft) After Breakfast - Drive to Yam dwar (8 kms) and start Kailash Parikarama to Diraphuk (13 kms) (1st Day), light lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Dirapuk guesthouse (Dormitory Accommodation). Yatris who do not take parikrama will stay at Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen.

DAY 07 Trek to Zuthulphuk (4760 M) (18,000 ft to 18,500 ft ) 22 km

This is the day every pilgrims talk about, the most difficult journey throughout the yatra - trek up to the 18,600ft. (Dolma- la Pass) - descend to Gauri kund and further trek along with the river to Zuthulpuk, dinner  & overnight at Zuthulpuk Guesthouse. Yatris who do not wish to continue parikrama will return by special ambulance and stay in Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen.

DAY 08 On To Ali:  Zuthulphuk – Darchen – Ali

After breakfast we trek around 6 kms and will be reaching to the point where the jeeps will be waiting for drive to Darchen. After lunch proceed to Ali by road and overnight stay at Ali Hotel.( 300 kms , 4 to 5 hrs) 

DAY 09 Flight to Lhasa

Transfer to Airport and fly to Lhasa. Overnight stay The St. Regis Resort Lhasa

DAY 10 Lhasa-Kathmandu/ Delhi Flight

Transfer to airport to fly back to Kathmandu/Delhi and proceed to onward journeys

as it is not allowed to carry more than 10-12 kg in helicopter.
